**Obituary for Joy Jamison**

Joy Jamison, age 73, of New York City, NY, passed away peacefully on June 21st, 2025, at the Triboro Nursing and Center in Bronx, NY. Born on May 6th, 1953, in New York, NY, Joy lived a life filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Philip Jamison Senior and Mozell Jamison, and a cherished parent to her two children, Lamont Jamison and Marche Griffin. Joy's loving spirit will continue to be felt through her grandson, Philip Jamison Jr., granddaughter Kasha Jamison, and great-grandson Levi Jamison. She also leaves behind her close first cousin, Calvin Cain, as well as a host of nieces and nephews whose lives she touched deeply. Special gratitude is extended to Linda Allen Woodard for her unwavering support and friendship to Joy and the family over the years. Joy was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Darryl Miles Jamison.

Joy dedicated much of her adult life to her career as a business account representative for Verizon in New York City, where she was admired and loved by her co-workers. Her true passion, however, resided in community service, which she pursued with great fervor as an active member of her church.

Her warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength left an indelible impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Bullock Funeral Services located at 436 Malcolm X Blvd, New York, NY 10037. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend the visitation on August 2nd from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Joy Jamison will be deeply missed but will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of those who loved her.
